It was again developed by Slant Six Games as they took over the work from the original company Zipper Interactive starting with the PSP title SOCOM: U.S. Navy SEALs - Tactical Strike. The game focuses on online gameplay with special forces from different nations such as the Navy SEALs, Special Air Service, Kommando Spezialkräfte, Unidad de Operaciones Especiales, and 1er Régiment Parachutiste d'Infanterie de Marine.
