Identifiers

In an effort to standardize the usage of identifiers at Hit Save!, here is the list of current identifiers being used and their description. For archivists, please update this list with new identifiers as needed.

• Our local identifier for the item, not prefixed
• isbn: ISBN
• mc: Magazine Code (Japan)
• cmc: Common Magazine Code (Japan)
• ppc: Periodical Publication Code (Japan)
• jan: JAN (Japanese Article Number) Code (Japan)
• ark: Archival Resource Keys (ARKs)
• serial: Serial visible on the physical item (disc, cart, floppy etc)
